LFS: No Fear!

I've just started playing this game and it's very good but one thing I find
that hampers it is a lack of damage.  In GPL, the thing I enjoy is waiting
for an opportunity to make a clean pass knowing that if I try to barge
through I'm going to end up backwards against the wall with someone waving
their***at me.  Even in NFSPU there's a need to be a bit careful with the
car to avoid damage.  In LFS online, everyone just goes screaming up the
inside of every corner without fear.  I wonder if they plan to sort this
out.....

The game has 'engine' damage but not body damage. They are planning to add
it but I think it should be an option for the person hosting the server. I
don't like damage because some drivers intentionally crash into others and
drive the wrong way for no other reason than to cause damage. Do you want to
be taken out of a race by somebody going the wrong way ON PURPOSE?

Turning damage off is fine on public servers full of morons, but for serious
'gentleman' racing the game loses a lot without damage.

I look forward to damage being implemented (and shown in the server
list) so that it filters out a lot of the muppets racing at the moment.

I'd settle for a really simple "bang the wall at angle X and speed Y
gives Z damage to acceleration" model until they can sort something
decent out.
