About the same here, although my time is a bit better in Australia ;-)
Are you using Career mode? Did you install some new carset off the web
which might have affected the opponent's performance? What car are you
using in Australia? BTW, my best in Monaco is a 1:24.4 in the Mecachrome,
and I've driven my ***off in order to improve, but to no avail, I seem
unable to get below the 1:24 barrier which SUCKS, all driving aids
turned off.

Cheers,

Uwe

I've been stuck at 1min 34.5secs at Australia since I got it (October?). I
use the Ferrari but can do that time in in a Stewart. I've produced setups
using all the telemetry and can't improve at all. I really can't believe
there's 5 seconds going begging in my fastest lap. Watching computer cars go
through some corners I'm 10mph down yet if I go any faster I will slide plus
I'm still not as fast as them on the straight unless I take off most of the
wing but then I'm 30mph down in the corners. Personally I think Ubisoft took
the critisism of F1RS being a little easy too seriously. I've noticed a fast
lap of 1:29 ish on a web site so it must be possible.

I can't wait until the USA gets this as it might keep them quite as to GPL's
difficulty.

I regularly get into the 1:32s at Australia - and once did a 1:31.8! If
anyone wants a ghost lap mailed to them, let me know.

I'm not sure if this applies to the 3rd post but definitely the 1st and 2nd,

I got the game first and just jumped right into it without any aids,
thinking I can win this no problem,

Thats wrong, start in easy mode with all aids on, then remove aids and move
up to Realistic-amateur, with all aids on again until you win allot and
probably by a good distance,

Then just keep going up like that,
It is the only way, and to be totally honest Setups make huge difference to
performance and lap times, let the car a bit loose to get round corners
easily I find, and never ever exaggerate a setup adjustment, if the guide
says to to this to get the car to do that then, adjust if 4 or 5 times and
perfect it instead of putting completely stiff springs or something like
that because the guide says "stiffer springs will do what you want but the
key word is stiffer and not completely stiff, and this of course applies to
all other aspects of setup and of course in qualifying never have a fuel
load more than 3 or 4 laps worth and only have enough to just make it to the
pits in a race.
