Ok, I smack the wall in GTR demo and my pit dude over the radio says
this. What the heck is a 'splis' or what is he saying?

Ok, so for us non-British or non-Australian folk, what's a splitter? The
tire?

"Looks like the splitter's gone, yeah the splitter's gone."

Part of me hopes they re-record that line as "... splitter *has* gone."

The other part is a ***ic Brit that is hoping they go in the other
direction, the idea of non-British simracers trying to work out what the
hell "Bleedin 'enry! You've totally royalled that one up ain't ya?"
means makes me chuckle. :)

ACD.

Ahhh but remember, the true RAS Cognicenti is well schooled in the
artful expression of Pythonese and thus we will be well and truly able to
dicipher any blathering from the lower class's dialects.

James Bond movies taught me long ago how almost each major British city
has it's own accent...I can't tell you which accent matches which city
(except for Liverpool of course) but I can often match up too chaps...
i.e. Brit Actor A comes from the same area as Brit actor B based on their
similar brit twangs.

Wellll no...but that is interesting.  Twang kinda refers to the Southern
USA accent I guess.  The long drawn out sylables.  Cowboy speak might be a
good way to describe...now, let's get back to those identical thingies....
