As i write this i am on my new pc....i would like to take a moment to thank
everyone who sent me mail on what to buy....here is what i ended up
with......
Pentium 233 with mmx
17 inch Sony monitor
AWE 64 Sound card
Diamond Stealth Rendition card
4 gig hard drive
32 mb of ram

its gonna take a while to get used to windows after being on a mac for well
over 10 years, but NASCAR 2 is totally awesome and the track pack looks
GREAT....

now a couple of newbie questions
Where can i get a suitable replacement for Las Vegas for the Busch Series,
and also a suitable replacement for Homestead (has anyone made a track that
is even a little similiar?

Where is the best place to get some BGN cars and WC cup cars ?

how in the world do i use those nifty trucks that I have just
downloaded....

Guys and gals I just want to say thanks again for all the help.....I used
most of the suggestions in buying a new computer......

Thanks again
Dave

I went from Mac to PC for the first time since the Mac 128k in '84. I owned
several Mac Pluses, and early and later PCI PowerMacs. In some ways MacOS is
still superior to Windows 95, esp. when it comes to file management BUT (I
never thought I would say this...)

1. W95 crashes 100x's less frequently than MacOS.
2. All the games and all the programs are here.
3. The platform is SUPPORTED
4. W95 is pretty much 90% of MacOS and easy.
5. My 200MMX and 3dfx card make my computer feel FAST. (No more waiting for
menus in MacOS)

You'll learn to enjoy it.
