I know this might not be the most appropriate forum,
but since I will mostly download driving games patches ...

do I have to worry about viruses when taking things from places
like "the pits" ?
Shall I worry if I download things from "personal" home pages?
Do you know where I could download a nice virus killer (surely there
aren't virus in a virus killer system ;) )?

I would recommend buying Norton Anti-Virus for your operating sytem.
I use NAV '95 for win'95 and it keeps me safe.
Symantec I believe also has some shareware anti-virus programs that
can be used, but they are not quite as good.
I forget the url off hand , but if you go to http://www.yahoo.com and
search for Symantec, you will find it.
