is that the most ugly car ever made????

just saw it on top gear.....ive only ever seen the nascar body shapes (which
all look the same, but still pretty cool), and seeing the road going version
i was amazed by how little it looked like the racing car.  The road car sure
is damn ugly (each to his own and everything).  Do people buy them thinking
theyre getting race tuned cars???

pez would rather buy italian.....

You should have seen them circa 1979.  Especially a pale yellow one with
white vinyl interior like my aunt had.  GACK!

Mmmmm..  A Monte Carlo Cream pie.

I had a 1970 Chevelle SS396 that was gold with a sparkly deep green

It looks pretty good, just that the backend and the tailights are ugly as hell.

But on the other hand, the mid 80's Monte SS's were hot little units,
as was the 85 Buick GN, like the one parked in my garage :) *Sigh*, I
miss Bobby Allison driving that Miller High Life Buick.

Oh, and you think the new Monte's are ugly? Take a look at the new
Taurus. The ass on that thing is bigger than my ex-wife's.

No, I think that would be a toss-up between the BMW 2002, Toyota Echo
(?), Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta.
BTW, you can make damn near ANY car ugly by painting the wrong color
(okay, maybe not a Viper, but you know what I mean)!

I have to disagree with the statement about the SS Monte's of the 80's,
looked good, yes, ran good, umm no, at least my fastback (GMs answer to the
Melling Ford T-Bird...) didn't till I put in a 427 :) That weak 305 was a
travesty in those big cars, now that turbo 4.3 in your GN, a different story
entirely. I remember a Hot Rod Mag story in the mid 80's where they did
their 0-100-0 shootout and the GNX finished like tied with a 'Vette for 2nd
(due to GNs acceleration and Vettes ABS) as I recall an old Cobra (Shelby,
that is) won by hitting 100 in 2nd gear...

Anyway, the new Monte's look good coming, but going, sheesh, what the hell
is up with that rearend?

Come now, the Bimmer is a classic shape!
Surely you mean the Renault Fuego!
