Paint programs for exported cars??

Exported a car for repaint in ICR2...Used Paint Shop Pro..Had to
convert file to jpg to use some of the PSP functions...Converted it
back to pcx..imported it and nothing but bleard graphics...Can someone
recommend a good Paint program that works with ICR2 and Nascar.
