Reactor3D support for SimulEyes?

Hi everyone,

I read somewhere that Reactor3D will support Stereographic's SimulEyes VR
glasses, so you won't need the little box that comes with the latter, thus
making it cheaper. Questions:

-does anybody has info on this?
-If so, will that support be in form of hardware addition or just a
software patch?

Thanks for reading and... Hasta la vista

The Verite chipset will support the Reactor 3D, but the Reactor does not
have a connector for the Simuleyes glasses, so you still need the little
box (dongle) between your video monitor and the video card.
I believe the 3DBlaster and the Sierra's card are the same way, but I'm not
positive.

It's the same exact hardware card from all 3 vendors so if you need the box with
a Reactor card, you'll need it for the other video cards also.

This notion that all Verite cards are identical is not accurate.  They
are probably all based on our reference design, but each OEM has
generated their own board design, and things like stereo support,
ROM vs. Flash for the BIOS, etc. can definitely vary from vendor to
vendor.

Out of the three verite card makers (Intergraph, Canopus, Creative
Labs), which ones are using Flash Bios and which are using Rom Bios.
I feel this is a very important point that hasn't received much
attention.

All of the current Rendition boards are use a Flash BIOS (Intergraph,
Creative, and Sierra).
