Hi there,

I dont known if this questions are apropriated in the news group, if
not I apologise in advance.

I would like to known you're oppinions on Trustmaster T1 Driving
Wheel.
Does it need a games card or can it be plugged to a SB Pro ?

I would also like to know if there is any good/fast/reliable :-) mail
services that destribute the T1 (preferably in Europe - England or
France, accepting payment by VISA and FAX orders) since in Portugal
the TM products are not destributed.

If you'ld be so kind to reply, fill free to do it by mail or cross-post.

Thanks in advance,

I use it with my SB Deluxe card, so it should work with the SB Pro.

I do not have a Formula T1 driving wheel, but I use a Virtual Pilot Yoke
and so far I am very impressed with it. It basically feels like you have
a wheel in you hands especially because of the fact that most F1 cars have
a rectangular shaped wheel with curved ends (Schumacher's wheel is similar
to the virtual pilot yoke if you have noticed in-car camera shots). The
Virtual pilot has two buttons on the wheel and a throttle lever. I bought
a separate set of maxx rudder pedals which I use as my accelerator and brake
pedals. And use my left button for downshift and right button for shifting
up. This basically is very similar to how F1 cars work today.(The Williams
93 model had two buttons on the wheel that did the gear shifts & the Mclaren
94 car has no foot clutch but a hand clutch). When I drive F1GP this way it
gives me a very realistic feeling much better than what I used to experience
jerking my joystick back and forth. Its tough to combine the yoke and the
pedals together into the same port, you need a Y-adapter. Also I don't use
the throttle lever available on the yoke, but you could use it if you want to.
The yoke priced at around 90 dollars is much more cheaper than the T1, but
with some effort you can make it do all that the T1 can! LAter...

Anand.
