I have a "pet peeve" I would like to air regarding posts that "ask
questions."

I ran across this twice this morning.....but its an ongoing pet peeve I see
fairly regularly on r.a.s. and other sim racing forums......so I decided I
might not be the only person irritated by this.

When you ask a question, then later find the answer yourself.....please post
the answer you found. Why?

A. Your self-discovered answer may not be correct....others can correct
you.
B. Others may have (probably do have) the same question and are
watching your "string" for an answer too.

Thanks for letting me "vent" about this.....

Who said they had found the answer? They might perpetually await for their
question to be answered.. hehehe.

I'd be willing to bet it was the thread about the low low viewing
perspective in the GT mod for F1 2001. Achim or Jens or Jan or one of the
other guys(precise ain't I???) found the solution and posted a never mind to
the question but didn't provide the how or where.

I didn't want to be Mr. Clueless wisecracking about a topic everyone in the
F12K1-community knows more about than I do.

I'm a rookie who's spent less than an hour with the game. I thought the
solution I found is most likely common knowledge to those who play F12K1 a
lot, especially since there wasn't a single comment to my question. I
thought the question is so basic everyone's bored by it <g>

Anyway - as I see it, anyone interested should have posted to the same
thread supporting the question. Or ask me after I found it. Even a Pizza
service must be called before they deliver ;-)
