Has anyone gotten the Rolex24 car set to work?  I can't get it to work in
low or high res, and this is on a clean install!  I would love some help, as
I've heard this set is worth it.

I got it ti work no problem.  Might  have to do with the fact that most car
sets must be unzipped to just the cars dir.  This has to go to the
nascar\cars\rolex24 dir.  If that isnt the problem fill me in a little more on
the install process you went through and what not.

I'm aware of unzipping, as well as very familiar with adding car sets to N1.
Yes, I put it in a Rolex24 directory.

The problem is, as soon as I select the Rolex24 car set in N1, it crashes
and reboots.  Then, I have to reinstall N1 (I know, it only takes two
minures to install, but it's a pain in the ***after the third or fourth
time) to get it to run again.  I've tried running it in both high and low
res, same result.

Are there system compatibility issues?  I'm running N1 on my old Abit board,
Intel P166, 48MegRam.

I dont think there should be.  I got it to work on my old system which is a
486dx with 50MegRam.  Im not to familiar with the Abit board though.  You might
try re-installing your drivers but since N1 is DOS i doubt it will make a
difference.  Oh yea, while im on that, try rebooting to DOS before trying to
run the game (unless you already do).  I seem to recall a similar problem  when
i tried running it with Win95 in the background.  If that doesnt solve the
problem im stumped!!  Anyways i hope this helps cause the cars set is very
worth it as you have heard (damage model is bad though).

It may be a compatibility issue between the N.American version of the
game and the UK/Europe/Can(?) version. I believe there is a carset
converter at the Pits but I expect it's in the archives. Could try
that as otherwise there's no reason esp. if others have got it to
work.

Good luck!

Hello,
Yes the car set is worth the download, You need to make sure you have run
all of the patches from sierra to upgrade your N1, If you are loading the
patches and still having problems pehaps you need to redownload the set as
maybe it got corrupted in the download or something, If any of this does not
work feel free to email me directly.
