GP2 - latest pics and info

Are you longingly awaiting the arrival of GP2?

For the latest info and some great pictures, have a look at the new on-
line magazine for sim-racing. If people are interested by it, myself and
a friend intend to issue this every month, and this month there is a
summary of the latest info on GP2, much of it from Geoff Crammond's lead
tester, and some fantastic new pics (Schumi upside down? Pictures of the
data logger?).

Check it out at :-

Be sure to let us know what you think, good......or bad!

Cheers!
John

They are amazing screen shots, I wish I had a beta copy.  Actually,
you would have thought that those who wrote editors/patches for
the Amiga and PC versions of F1GP would be on top of Microprose's
list of beta testers ... are you listening Microprose? ;-)

Thank you for the info. The pitlane was above *all* expectations, Geoff sure is
a perfectionist.. (lucky for us...)

The images (spin gear, dust/smoke, etc.) make it worth the wait, even if it is
so painful

Wow .... Smokin'
GP2 is definately going to be worth the long wait, those screen shots
are really cool, great looking Web site by the way ;-)

Shame on those magazines that reviewed GP2 so early though, they
obviously didn't have anything like the final release. Wonder if they
will redo their reviews, it must be on course for a 99% or 100% score.

Hi,

But you may need a Pentium 999Mhz with 1024Mb Ram on board to have those
fantastic effects.
If you have a Pentium 133Mhz with 24Mb ram, you may have the chance to
enjoy so beautiful screenshots 1 frame per second.

Kenny Law

Do you think a Pentium Pro 200 mhz could run the game with FULL detail
in SVGA mode at a smooth frame rate?

A P166 should be able to that. According to what I have heard
SVGA should work pretty well on a P120(a minimum IMO...).

Yes? And I'll buy one too. Remember how much hardware NASCAR needed when
it came out? Even now most people can't have good frame rates in SVGA
without dropping lots of detail. Good frame rates will hasten
obsolesence.

Now your spreading rumour and disinformation. P-133 with 24Mb RAM will
have good frame rates in SVGA, certainly comparable with NASCAR. People
are too concerned about this.

Cheers!
John
