People who read this newsgroup !
One of us is Jaques Villeneuve - I know that exactly !
The main questions to all and Jaques solely:
    1. The car behavior in modern F1 sims is quite different. Main opponets
are MGPRS2 and GP2 (I guess OF1R is just a joke).I believe that (my opinion)
GP2 car more exactly provides pedals sensetivity, stereeng wheel response
accuracy etc... But MGPRS2 was developed in cooperatin with Renault
engeneers !!! And it has absolutely enormous sensetiveness of gas and brake
pedals I cannot believe that it's the feature of reality.
    2........
    3........
Many things. These games are quite different.
Jaquees, Respo-o-o-nd !!! We need it.

Hi Warren!

Sorry, I'm not Jacques :-)
(Did you know that he signed his autographs with "I survived Eau Rouge" ater
his accident? :-))  )

But I can tell you what Nick Heidfeld, Formula 3000 Champion, McLaren Test
Driver, Prost GP driver 2000 said after he drove MGPRS2 in a
hyperstimulator:
"If you are quick with THIS, you are quick with the real thing!"   :-)

Greetings,

Markus

Jacques might be more likely to reply if you spell his name right :o)

I know that Jacques used to / still does have an incredibly short amount of
travel in his throttle pedal. Somewhere around 2-3 cm to control 800bhp!!!
(correct me if I'm wrong I read this when he first came into F1). I reckon
my microsoft pedals have 7cm travel and cannot control the throttle at all
well in grand prix legends when in first gear. (If anyone is next to me on
the grid online, please give room ;-)

I think one of the best features in games like gpl and toca2 is the advanced
controller options, non-linear throttle helps me enormously. I don't know if
that is realistic but it is realistic for different drivers to have their
own personal settings to help them, so this feature in games actually
increases the realism IMO.

That's true, his travel is amazingly small.  And it's why he is so weak when
racing in wet-conditions. He simply cannot compete against the
throttle-featherers.  My CH pedals have almost 20cm of travel in radius, I
know I probably loose 0.01second each time I go back on the throttle since
it takes more time than if I had 2-3cm.

Just wait until you try Motorsims's controller setup for AMA SBK.  You can't
get any better than it ;)

You can probably see that reflected in the way he drives - look at how
much he slid the tail around compared to Hill in the same car!

Cheers!
