Not a complaint, just an observation.  Next time in practice session
cause a big crash and get behind it on the track.  Call for a tow and
when the truck starts to tow you, you will pass right through cars on
the low side of the track.  Must be the ghost command is set to ON for
towing situations.

Not to mention there is no visible Tow Truck...You just get pulled around
by some mysterious force...

Doesn't seem this would have been to hard to put in..

Probably not, but when you have 100 or so things that each are only a
week or so, pretty soon, you're looking at two man-years to do all of
the easy things. We had to pick and choose, even from among the easy
things. So, we accepted the invisible force/ghost towing option (as that
was already implemented for multi) as opposed to no tow truck, which was
the alternative.

Jim,

Trust me ...I understand all about small programming issues adding up ;)
I didn't mean to sound critical in my post BTW, overall I am very happy
with N2.
You guys did a wonderful job....

Even better...  Big wreck at 'Dega, spun all the way down the
backstretch.  By the time the tow truck started dragging my sorry
corpse of a car down to the stripe in turn 3, I saw the field comming
up at full speed.  It was really interesting watching 4 or 5 cars pass
right through me (I was cringing the whole time!)  Kinda cool, but ...

Another problem with the Tow Truck is it pulls you FORWARD around the
track. It should pull you forward or back depending on which is closer to
the pits. I crash on Talladega in turn 1, the tow truck comes, and pulls
me around the entire track until I get to the pits. By that time I'm 2
laps down.

No offense, but any wreck in Winston Cup racing which would require a
tow truck would likely result in that competitor being many more than 2
laps down once they rejoin the track...

In a short race at Talladega (10%, first race after getting N2) I wrecked
in the tri-oval
with several other drivers. The tow truck towed me all the way around the
track with the spotter telling me "only 5 to go, keep it up". Then when I
got into turn 3 he started yelling about one more lap to go. Just before
reaching the pits the green flag came out with my car still being towed on
the track. The yellow flag came out a second later. When I did reach the
pits the spotter informed me that I had entered a closed pit????

You crash badly enough that you need a tow to get off the track, and then
you don't want to go a lap down? Why don't you just turn off damage?

I wrecked on pit lane on Hawaii and was towed all the way around
Taladega.

By the time they get back out from the toilet I would say 10 or
more... :-)
