attempted to run it. The game won't launch because of an "Out of memory"
error.
The FAQ at various websites says this is probably because I lack the
right vido card or am missing or have certain bad .dlls (wsock32.dll,
glide.dll, glide2x.dll, sst1init.dll). I have checked the .dlls out and
found that I have them all and that wsock32.dll has the right size and
is probably okay.
I am running a Matrox Millennium II graphics card which I thought was
3D, claims is 3D, and is more advanced than the Matrox Mystique 220
which Ubisoft claims they are able to run FIRS on. I have Direct6
drivers and the Direct3D driver is installed according to the DirectX
status.
Is there something I missed in the installation? Is the Millennium II
really not a 3D card? If it is a 3D card, then can I expect similar
problems with other 3D programs that I try to run on my Matrox card?
