Well, it's a tough track. I seem to have most of the trouble in the Bico do
Pato hairpin and if I manage to do that well (whilst showing improvement on
lap-times) I get so exited that I spin off in the Curva 4 :-(
Besides, I run it on a laptop (Toshiba 410CDT, P90, 24MB) and have to use
the keyboard for control (no game/joystick port). With the keyboard it
seems to be impossible to brake decently without locking up the wheels (or
am I overlooking something??)
After practicing 60 laps or so, I managed to do a 1:19:958 with a setup:
front wing 8
rear wing 3
front height 27
rear height 52

Yes, I do. I run GP2 on a P90 notebook (no joystick port) and have to play
with the keyboard. With keyboard, everything is "switched": you either
brake or you don't. Same thing with steering: is either straight ahead of
fully-locked left/right -- I've tried that once and to nobody's surprise
that will spin you around.
The brakes are most annoying with keyboard control: if you press the
brakes, you lock up the wheels. Still I prefer this over the brake-help.
Oh yes, I could try pumping the brakes by tapping like a complete idiot
on the keyboard but that will destroy the keyboard, my finger and will
only confirm my wife's opinion on me when I'm playing GP2 <;-)
best regards,

Do you use throttle help? There is no way I can handle the car with
the wings set like that, I always lose the back end in the 1st/2nd
gear corners. My wing settings are something like front=2 rear=3 and
I`ve managed a 1:18:9xx.

front wing: 1
rear wing: 1
front height: 30
rear height: 47
packers: enough to top it bumping.
Keyboard with steering control, 206 mph on the pit
straight.
Unfortunately people keep hitting me.
