I don't know, but I know it screws up Wing Commander Prophecy if you
have that turned on. :)

I read it's usually good, when u have a digital input device (no pots,
like Sidewinder). Normal devices (T1, T2, analog sticks)prefer the
'unchecked box'.

There's a pretty good explanation about 1/3 of the way through this
article, which is really about the PDPI L4 digital gamecard:

Polling means the CPU is checking a device (gameport in this case)
without any previous request by that device.
It can do so with Interrupts enabled or disabled.

Usually you don't want to disable interrups on your system for
a longer time as some high priority (interrupt driven) devices
might not be serviced in time. (e.g. network cards may drop packets).

Unfortunatly some hardware might get confused when interrupted
while being polled and produce wrong output (joystick spikes).
This is why MS added this "Poll with Interrupts enabled" option.
So i think it depends on your hard- and software if you want to turn
this option on - probably you'll need to enable Interrupts while
playing online and disable them for some games that require it to
be off.

PS:
Mea***er: i heard you changed from GPL german to GPL US..
would be nice if you could provide some input what the differences
are and why (and how) you did this - maybe by email... Thanks
