Stolen
Company prepares alternative measures to ensure delivery to collectors
PHOENIX (June 18, 2002) Action Performance Companies today announced that a
recent shipment of die-cast collectible merchandise bound for Racing
Collectables Club of America members was stolen in route from Southern
California. The shipment contained the following die-cast replica vehicles:

Action Performance remains committed to bringing these pieces to our Club
collectors. As such, each product will be reproduced at lower production
quantities and issued a collector sequence number with an identifying suffix to
differentiate it from the stolen merchandise.
Action further requests that collectors be alert for fraudulent sales of the
stolen Club product. Any Club product available outside of Actions official
RCCA distribution network should be considered suspect.
"Action is thoroughly prepared to remedy the situation," said Fred Wagenhals,
Actions chairman, president and CEO. "We are doing what is necessary to
replace these products for our devoted collectors, so, in advance, I thank
everyone for their patience.
"I also hope that RCCA members and race fans who discover any of our RCCA
merchandise being sold illegally will let us know," Wagenhals continued.
"Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your vigilance as we
rectify the situation."
