Test Drive 5 and High Scores

by Erico Freit » Sat, 02 Jan 1999 04:00:00

Hello,
This message is for those of you that have played Test Drive 5.   I have
been playing it for a
while and I can't manage for the life of me to record my name in the High
Scores table. For
example: I have run Sidney, Australia in 3'27", averaging 130 MPH and
beating the factory
high score but 40 seconds but I still can't record my name. I have traffic
on, cops on and checkpoints
on and I played this on normal and hard. If anyone is having the same
problem or knows of something
I may be doing wrong I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks,
Erico

I've had the same problem.  No matter what I do, it doesn't ask for a name
to enter.  I've checked all the settings and they should allow me to enter
my high scores but I can't.

Does Test Drive 5 actually remember your controller settings (as
unbelievable as it sounds, TD4 required you to reset your controller
settings every time you started it) ?

Also, does the wheel actually feel like it is analog, and not just 6 or
8 positions?  It reminded me of those cheap radio controlled cars from
Radio Shack!

TD-4 is, without a doubt, the worst game in my library...

Thanks!

No other racing game has cooler cars than TD-4 and 5.

Yes, but they wreck so easily.  Ya can't steer the damned things!
