Is CD drive needed for ICR2?

by Ken MacK » Tue, 22 Oct 1996 04:00:00

I am thinking about buying Indycar II but I don't have a CDROM drive
at home (its a laptop). I should be able to transfer the files onto my
hardrive but I though I heard that the CD was needed for copywrite
protection. If this is true how can I get around not having the CD
drive.

Thanks for helping a "newbie".

PS this is the 2nd time I've tried to post this.

I'm not sure about th win95 version(it probably installs the same as the
dos version), but if you have about 40meg free you can just copy the whole
game to your hard-drive, and you won't need the cd at all.

in the drive.  All files are on the hard disk.

There is no copy protection with Indycar II.  Just do a full
installation and race from your hard drive.

No as long as you do a full install you can copy the files.  There is no
copy protection.

Thanks to all who responded.  It'll be nice to get the full version
after using the demo.
