Does anybody know if doing a full install of the game will speed up the loads
time when going from module to module?

Also, does a full install permit playing w/o the CD, ala the Papy sims?

Thanks

Hello,
I am not sure about all the different versions of the games
(geographically), but I have a full install and still need the CD to
start the game.  I have a 7200 spin WD with ATA 66 and 2MB buffer and
it still takes a bit to load the levels.  I don't find it much slower
than say, Quake 3 though.  A full install definitely will help with
movies, etc.

Ok well a full installation amkes a huge difference!!!
If you can spare the space then doit but I doubt it can be run without the
CD, but I'll ahve t check that.

Randy Macgruder had a good point in his review.  If they would just show
an enlarged version of the stage map during the load, instead of the same
old Ibiza, then it wouldn't matter so much.  It would give us something to
think about.
