ICR Problem - Anyone else?

by Jay » Wed, 01 Jun 1994 04:53:43

Hello,

Have a problem with ICR 1.04.  After racing for around 10 minutes, the
programs begins to get jumpy.  It will begin to pause the action for periods
of time up to a second.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I know it is long, but I would like to run a complete race.

My system.

486 dx2 66
8 meg
no disk caching
386MAX
SB 16

thanks,
jay

Hi Jay,

Well, come to think of it I find as well after playing for a longer
period of time the game just doesn't run as fast as it did when first loaded.
I REALLY notice it as I only have a 386-40 (8meg)!  Can't see why you should
have any problems though.  You may want to take away the 386-Max and try
it with just HIMEM.SYS loaded.  I as well have a SB-16 so I wouldn't rule
out the possible problem we may share with that line of card... unfortunately
I son't think there's anything WE can do about that.  Talk to ya later!

I forgot to mention (don't know how) that if you keep racing, the problem
eventually worsens to the point that the computer will reboot.

thanks again,
jay
