Too many people downloading it. I had the same error. Keep trying, you'll
get it...

It just means the server is busy and you should keep trying to connect.

I have installed NFS3 and it works great.  I went to their home page and tried
to download a featured car to incorporate with the game.  When I clicked on
"download car" I received the following message...

"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http....blah blah.  The server
returned extended information."

Any idea what's up with that?  I download from web sites all day long with no
problem.

Thanks.

I just tried to download the add on car, and got the same result.  I was
using I.E. 4, so then I tried it with Netscape 4.  No luck there either.

Apparently the link to the file is not correct.

EA has fixed the link to the showcase download.

I got it the other night but the fault was in the
site address. I ended up using an FTP pgm and I
think the problem was in the 1st part of the URL.
(something like adding a 1 to the address like
"ftp1.ea.." instead of "ftp.ea..". maybe)

Better yet, get an FTP program (like CuteFTP)  and go directly to EA's
ftp site instead of using the web browser.  You'll bump into less
traffic and have faster download times as well

EA's website seems to be very picky about letting people download this car.
It wouldn't let me download until I changed my Language settings to English
(United States).

I've also found that the java scripts don't seem to work well on my machine.

No other site I've visited has these problems.

Regards

Andrew
