Troll Baiting, an art forgotten

After watching the fiasco develop with EA Rules! and previously the
Rodster, i thought i would just comment on our momentary lapse of
common sense...
IMO, RAS regulars and most visitors to our newsgroup, are sensible
mature sim racers, so it makes me wonder at times why we lower
ourselves to the trollee's level by replying to his/her posts.
The best thing to do with these type of posts, is to IGNORE them.
This news group has always been a valuable source of sim related
information, both to the user and the developer, so why downgrade our
supposed mentality by replying to trolls. ??
How long are the developers going to keep coming if they have to put up
with that sort of rubbish. ?
Let's try and show a bit of that maturity we are always talking about
and just ignore them..   They will certainly move on to a better
targeted newsgroup eventually.
If you feel you just have to reply, then reply with a plonk and forget
them..    Hopefully they will already be plonked. <G>
Cheers,
Ron

A Troll is somebody living under a bridge ;-)

Actually the term troll related to the Usenet is because of a fishing term
"trolling" as to a technique to catch a fish, and modified itself to because
what we know as a "troll", normally a AOLer or WebTVer who post on a
newsgroup only to harm the community.  But they live under bridges, still ;)
