95% of the time is works great, better than great.  Make sure you have
the 1204 patch from Sierra.  5% of the time you will get sudden
disconections, abrupt change in quality etc.  But I have gone tons of
laps tucked underneath another car at Dega with nary a blip...

between Nerf Arena and N3 I really haven't had too many problems...
Occasionally, I get a "Bad Connection" message while racing, and cars do
jump around and disappear sometimes, but for the most part, I'm really,
really happy.

What is also unbeatable is being able to download patches and stuff in no
time flat.

Good luck,

Andrew

It's working great for me for on-line racing in both GPL and DTR (the
only ones that I play). The only drawback, at least in my area, is that
the "upstream" transfers are limited to 128Kb. This means that I can't
host a GPL game with more than about 6-8 players.

The finalized beta patch for N3 & NL.  Now available at Papy.com and
Sierra .  I'm not sure if the auto update is there yet though.  A bunch
of multiplayer improvements, some graphic updates and whole bunch of bug
squashes.  The same patch for the trucks 1214 is still going through
testing but will put the CTS expansion pak up to the same level as the
patched versions of N3 and NL.

It all depends on the neighbourhood your in.  My friend gets 300-400k off me
(T3) sometimes, whereas my Dad's sometimes is sooo bad it takes him 15-20
minutes to email a complaint!!!!
It's a crapshoot,
