Pls give advice TNT2 M64

I have not much experience with videocard. I have to say my videocard TNT2
M64 works pretty good for F1 2000.

But i am wondering. How much influence has the videocard on the FPS on a
game like GP3 and how much does depend on the rest of your system. My system
is a P3 500mhz, 128mb.

This questions, i ask, because i am a bit scared that GP3 will not run
smooth on my system, but i dont know if its my videocard.

If it is my card, can i change options in my videocard software to make it
run smoother? Can i upgrade my card, or do i have to buy a totally new one?

So what are my options. I appreciate if someone can give me some good advice
for this.

Hmmm, thanks for the answer. When i installed GP3 (coudnt resist it), it was
not initialising my TNT2 M64 card. So when i got in game, it was standing on
Softwaremode. After that i pushed 'recalibrate'. So then i saw the lights,
then i saw a car moving, again i saw lights, again i saw car moving, then i
saw colored stripes, after that i saw a car moving with a square
steeringwheel with stripes.

Do you know what the problem is here. Do i do something wrong ??

The readme outlines  entries u may need for your card in cards.txt
get dx7a, it solves a few bugs in Dx7
get newer drivers, those u have are old

mangled uncounted electrons thus:

<snip>

There is. Get DX 7a. There aren't many changes, but the ones
there are, are quite significant...

Pfui. The Detonator 5.xx series are designed for GeForce cards.
You might well get better results from the 3.68 drivers. I
certainly do, with my (Guillemot) TNT2 M64.

<grin> Are they ever?
