IWCCCARS: Proposed Format Change

Happy New Year to you all!  I hope you had a pleasant holiday and an
enjoyable Christmas!

IWCCCARS will be updating and reformatting some key areas on the Web
site this week.  Some of you may notice a growing similarity to the
Consummate Winsock Apps page on the Net -- well, it's intended to be
so. Hopefully the changes will make it even easier to access the car
sets on our pages and make it more enjoyable to get the information
you need.

Also, the sheer numbers of excellent car sets and individual cars
being painted out here in NetLand have prompted me to consider a new
course for upcoming car sets.  While we have an excellent design team
currently at work, I've also noted that several .PCX files are
floating around the 'Net looking for a home.  In many cases these cars
are much better than ours, principally because the author isn't
painting a whole set but is devoting a lot of time to that one car.
The end result makes that car a real jewel.
So, I would like to know what you think of the following proposal: For
each of the IWCCCARS sets, we adopt a submission policy for each set.
In other words, if you don't like the way the #5 Kelloggs Monte Carlo
looks in CARS95, send us your version.  If we use it, we'll put your
name in the contributors list on our home page and give you due credit
for your work.
This idea may take a bit to get organized, but I want your input on
this.  I believe this will produce the best work the Internet has to
offer for NASCAR car sets, and it will make our effort one big group
effort, without having to mess with egos or whatnot.  NASCAR Racing is
a great simulator -- we should work together to make it the best
experience you can have without actually getting in the car!
If you support this policy, please sign our Guestbook telling us so.
You can reach our home page at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~iwcc/project.htm.

Thank you for your continued support of the Project.  Please keep
sending me feedback for improvements, suggestions, etc. so that we can
provide you with the best possible service.  Happy racing!
