Looking for setup tips...

...for the road courses in NR2002.  I tried a few things the other day,
and it definitely feels less like driving a bus around an ice rink now,
but since I'm not that great a driver I don't know whether the things I
did were really good things or just things that make it easier to drive.
Here is the setup I ended up with at Watkins Glen, and I think I am
using basically the same thing at Sears Point:

Front Springs: 600 lbs/in
Rear Springs: 400 lbs/in
Front bar: 1 in.
Rear bar: 1 in.
Front camber: -2 deg.
Front caster: 3 deg.
Rear camber: -1.8 deg.
Dampers: 4 compression, 6 or 7 rebound
Tire pressures: 20 psi front, 21 rear
Track bar: 7 in. at both ends
Weight bias all the way rearward
No side weight bias
Brake bias: 60%

I probably forgot a few things, but that is basically it.  Everything is
symmetrical, since assymetrical setups give my FF wheel fits.  Basically
I started with the fast setup and tweaked from there.  I adjusted
springs and bars until I got a roll couple of about 70%, which was
recommended in the N4 manual.  I lowered the track bar because the car
feels a whole lot better with it all the way down.  With it up in the
position used in the fast setup the car always felt like it was going to
roll over forward during combined braking and turning (high rear roll
center?).  I added some caster because that really helped the steering
feel.  Tire temps looked pretty even with these settings, I think at the
Glen I had temps in the 190's everywhere except the right front, which
was in the 170's.  Basically the car felt less like a van and more like
a real road car with these settings.  It took about 2 seconds off of my
PB at the Glen, but that is not really meaningful because I am still
godawful slow there (1:19).  So give me some hints, am I going in the
right direction with this setup or is it just going to slow me down in
the long run?

Thanks,
Hal
