Most of us are used to Text editing HDVs, SVM, GearRatios, Engines, PM
and TBC. You get the picture. This helps you do that with the new file
formats.

Are you serious? That's nothing more than a text editor without any
features....
Hows it working out for ya ?

If you atleast familiar with the past F1 2001-F1 2002-F1-C games you
will know or atleast have an idea of how files work and interact
with-one another.
Taking a look at the physics and the differances between SEMI-PRO and
SIMULATION is nothing more than a few lines changed.
LatPeak=X, Y, ?
LongPeak=X, Y, ?
RollingResistance=X
Heating=Z, Z
X = Value seams to be doubled in Pro-Sim
Y = Value seams to be doubled in Pro-Sim
Z = Heat value is reduced in Pro-Sim
? = Remains the same
Aside from those change in tires the only other differance between
PRO-SIM and SIMULATOR are the name tags.
You guys come to your conclusion if this is just hype or unfinished
work but the point of the DEMO was the PHYSICS.
[snip]
Because, of course, there couldn't be *anything* happening in the
compiled portion of the code :/.
Get real - maybe these are just adjusting factors to make the external
physics files work with the differences in the physics engines between
semi-pro/pro. As previous ISI games never had arcade/semi-pro/pro
modes and SBDT has access to the latest *source code* there could be
all kinds of things happening when you switch modes.
BTW - I'm pretty sure SBDT expected everyone who got the demo to stick
to full simulation mode, so perhaps semi-pro is simply incomplete.

Ummm..... so maybe Semi Pro and Sim use the same physics except Semi Pro has
unnaturally grippy tires. Makes sense doesn't it? Otherwise "realistic"
physics but easier to drive. Regardless, I fail to see what your point is.
GTR is supposed to ship with three levels of "difficulty." Does it really
matter how SimBin goes about it? For likely 90+% of those currently playing
the demo, the only main concerns are how it feels and how close to the real
deal does it get us (given the constraints of playing on a PC). For those
that choose Semi-Pro or arcade (when GTR ships), the emphasis will be more
toward faster or near-instant familiarity. They won't care how the data
differs. (ok, maybe the semi-pro folks will to an extent)
Kudos on decrypting the files, but your last post reeks of malicious
intent... more so than the few recent posts of yours I've seen on RSC. Make
some salient, more substantive critiques and perhaps you'll stop coming
across as someone with an axe to grind.
