nyone who have expertise on pots please explain the value of ohm resistance, and which values are bette for homemade wheels.  Is itthe higher resistance values the better precision in steering?  Also, where can you get optical pots or make 'em?
Thanks.

% Anton,

% the best valeu for the pots IMO is 100K ohms. Most good joysticks use
% this value. Thrustmaster use 270K ohm pots, but this can cause "wobble"
% at maximum resistance, because the input voltage is so low that noise is
% picked up. Use 100K.

I am pretty sure that the pots in T1/GP1/T2 were 250k and that they are
now using 100k pots in their Pro series packages (NASCAR & Formula 1).
