If you are using Win95 open My Pc, Control Panel, System, Device
Manager. Click on the + sign next to sound video and game controlers.
Select your sound card, click Properties, select the Resourses tab.
Note the 1st # next to the top listing for input/output range, ie:
220, then note the interupt request, then the Direct Memory Access #.
In my case with a Soundblaster 16 pnp value it is
Input/Output Range 220
Interupt Request 10
DMA 03
DMA 07
Jot those down for your system, then run soundset in your nr1999
directory.
Select your card and load in the settings you jotted down, Then
without testing the sound, (that locks mine up every time too) Just
select exit.
If you have more than 1 dma# in the control panel settings you may
need to try each one to get it working.
I have the same prob as every once in a while Win95 will reassign the
soundcard to a new Interupt # if it uses the previous one for
something new, so you need to verify that your Win95 settings match
what N99 is trying to use.
Hope this helps.
