Thustmaster Nascar pro, anyone replace wiring themselves

The buttons on my wheel are all screwed up, and I know I can get a new
wiring harness from TM, but I'm a little weary about sending my wheel in
again(long story)
Has anyone fixed this themselves?
I haven't actually cracked the thing open yet, but it shouldn't be that
tough.

Just did the right one on mine.  Just get some small wire from radio
shack.   To be safe, I cut the wire about 3/4" from each end to
prevent soldering directly in the switch, etc.

works better than new now.
