GPL: Another one bites the dust...

I was in my local EB today.  I saw a guy picking up various racing games.
Looked like he had sided with 24 Hours of LaMans.  I HAD to intervene.  I
asked him what he was looking for.. An arcade game or a racing sim.  He was
after a racing SIM.  Well, I introduced him to GPL, and warned him it's not
for kids.

I felt kinda bad after...  I failed to tell him he was going to need a spare
life.  Well, write off another perfectly good human...  Sucked into the
depths of GPL, only to surface for food and water (and the occasional
bathroom break)...  Is that another angry wife I hear...

You didn't tell him how much money it would cost him to upgrade his graphics
card, sound card, processor, monitor, ff wheel etc either.

Hardware vendors should supply GPL with every order.  A guaranteed way to
get people upgrading.

Cheers

Phil

Halellujiah!  Another lost soul has been welcomed to the fold!  May you
continue your good work by spreading the Truth which is GPL.  More converts
means more online at VROC, as well as more sacrificial lambs to quench
Surtees' ***lust.  Perhaps someday that deity of the Rear-End Crash will
be satisfied and I'll make it through Parabolica unscathed.  Amen.

ROFLMAO too!
Of course the fellow who purchased the game is, at this very moment, probably

lap?" stage of development.  His life will be much harder before it gets any
easier, if my experiences are an indication of what he can expect.

And, if he makes it through The Purification Rituals and Stages of Purgatory,
he will finally become one of the glassy-eyed followers...

The day Surtees' '***lust' (love the way you put it! =) is satisfied is
the day I fling a default-setup BRM around Monza in 1:26.00...considering I
haven't even hardly broken into the 1:28s (and that's an extreme rarity,
most of my hotlaps are around 1.29, vast majority of my laps are in the
1.30s - with a nicely tuned Eagle)

And a true humanitarian you were! If only more people would stop the
madness.
