N2 going to the outside

Does this happen to anyone else?  When I'm at a track, mostly short tracks,
and I get a run and I go high the AI car come up and pinches me into the
wall.  You have to be like up to the front fender of the other car or he
comes over.  If you are behind that point the car just runs me right into
the wall.

Just wondering,
Sean Higgins

Yes that happens to me too. I have tended to avoid passing
high out of turns. I'm not sure what the problem is here but
it seems to be the AI cars don't know you are there unless you
can get a little ahead of them before you are out of the turn.

This is a big problem with the AI.  Sometimes even being up to the front
fender coming high out of corners isn't safe.  One just has to adjust to
the fact that this is a dangerous move.  Apparently the AI's spotters
have an extreme blind spot at this moment on the tracks.

I haven't taken the time to play with the drivers skills in N2, but
sometimes giving them better numbers in the traction section can go a
long way in helping to "calm" down this action of the AI.

They really should hold their line coming out of the corners if the
other car is still on the outside.  It would be nice if Papyrus would
look at this and work a little bit harder to fix it.  It's been around
since ICR1 (I don't really recall experiencing this too much in the
original Indianapolis 500).

This varies from track to track.  The high pass at Martinsville is fairly
safe - since they come off the corners kinda low anyway.  It can be done at
Dover - but you do need to be up to the front fender in the turn - although
you can come off the turn only up to the door - so long as were up to the
fender in the turn.  I usually drive in *** the outside - get along
side, then back off so I don't smack the outside wall.  I can then finish
the pass on the straight.  At Talladega with modified AI it can be done -
but it is a little difficult at normal traction level - which I think is a
little too loose for passing on the outside and not hitting the outside
wall coming off the turns.  I have experimented with tractions around 62000
to improve the outside passing potential here - but this makes me too fast
down low (can't seem to get a compromise here).

The same thing happens to me.  I mean, what are they thinking?  And it is
not only sometimes, it's all the time.  Sierra definitely needs to fix
this.

Yeh, I've had the same problem too Sean.  Seems like it happens at
almost all the tracks too.

Yes it happens to me also.  I think the key is to be far enough alongside
the AI so that your spotter calls out "car down low".  It sure is
frustrating when you get a good run on em and they pinch you into the
wall.

AMEN! If papy can fix this problem, N2 will be a much better game. I'm
gettin tired of always passing on the inside, it takes half the fun
out of the game.
