Sunday, May 5:

race 1 - Atlanta - wrecked by DamonGangi, who comes down off the high line to
nail me, when I was passing on the inside. I checked the replay to keep from
blaming him unfairly - it looked deliberate.

race 2 - Taladega - wrecked on the pace lap by IndyJ, who comes FLYING through
the field on the back stretch, nailing 3 or 4 cars. Did I mention this was on
the PACE LAP?

race 3 - Michgan - during a yellow flag, some jerk named TANMAN decides he
wants to shorten my back bumper. He kept running into me, I moved over - he
moved over, and did it again. THIS guy I wanted to beat the shit out of...

race 4 - Martinsville - I managed to avoid MAJOR carnage on the second lap.
I have NO idea how, but I survived the rest of the race without incident(see
kudos to BRichards below)

During one of the later chats, I mentioned IndyJ. He was in the chat room,
and said 'it was an accident'. BULLSHIT! Charging through the field during
the pace lap at 150mph ain't an accident, pal. It's just STUPIDITY.

I *did* have a exciting duel with BRichards at M'ville. I figured I
should give a compliment along with the flames<g>

I'll probably get flamed for mentioning names, but I don't care anymore. If
anyone has a problem with MY driving, let me know. I'm man enough to take
responsibility for my actions. I've moved out of the groove on purpose to let
a faster car by, even for position.

You SHOULD mention names. Drivers in real racing talk about who races fair
and who doesn't. Those of us phoning in from the west coast are spending
serious money to do this and if our money is wasted by some jerk, then call
out his name.

I do think that some of the crazy car antics is caused by the server. But some
is just ignorance or stupidity.

And we should mention the GOOD drivers. One I wan't to mention is "edigizzi". I had
slowly caught up to him and he stayed high while I did a classic Dega end of
backstraight draft pass. He caught me back in the tri-oval two laps later and
I gave him plenty of room as he took me on the inside at the exit.

Actual racing! Some day we may get to enjoy it.

Eldred-

I totally agree with you, although I have not seen these guy you
mention. The guy I had problems with yesterday was CRANIK (or something
like that). This guy ran into me as I was passing under him. My wheels
were under the white line, and he said he was scraping the wall.

Another guy hit me in the rear, and said I took the air off of his
spoiler.

I guess you have to really size up people for a lap or two before you
try to go around. Why cant these slow guys just let you go by free and
clear???

The thing is, I *waited* to pass DamonGangi for two laps. He was holding his
line just fine, until I tried to pass. I guess he suckered me in...yeah, it
was on purpose.

I just thought of another problem. One of the speedway races ended under a
yellow flag. during the last lap(under yellow), a couple cars tangled on the
back straight. I avoid the crash, but I get the message 'stay behind car
#XX'. Problem is, either he's crashed out, or he's just screwing around with
some other driver. While I'm waiting for him to pass me again, I get people
yelling at me to move, 'cause THEY can't pass ME without getting the
black flag. Meanwhile, the leaders cross the finish line, and *I* get DQ'ed
because the crashed cars never pass me... That's a no-win situation, isn't
it??

I just can't win... :(

This happened to me a 'Dega and I made a really slow qual lap, ok I
crashed, but on the pace lap two guys ahead of me crash and then a thrid
goes into the grass on the back stretch. Any how I get the don't pass so
ans so message. Not wanting to stop and***something up I keep going
and get the black flagg, passing under yellow. I go into the pits and
after sitting there for 2 min. I said***it at left the race. I know
tis hurts my skill level but I cannot afford the cost of sitting in the
pits versus being a higher skill level. I finally made it to level 1 and I
have only gone on line four times. I am fast learning that the key to
advancement is just survive.

Had that happen too. I remember being stuck in the pits for AGES, along with
someone else. Might have been the same race, with both of us watching the
race go by without us...
