Hi Ian,
Goto: Options > Settings inside the menu.
The default screen will be your network settings. If you are behind a
router/proxy, we have concessions for such things, and they do need to be
set correctly.
Wasn't able to finish the Network Guide (which will include detailed
Proxy/Router theory, and application technical notes), so I have to explain
it in here.
Please accept my apologies for the lack of documentation... I was not well
the past couple of days, and I launched the soft with my pillow and cough in
mind.
We'll bring all the docs up to snuff, and in the meantime, pick that Proxy
option that best suits your LAN. You should then be able to play.
If you have any more problems connecting, I will do everything in my
power/time to make sure you get playing in the shortest period possible.
If you have anymore problems... please post in the Relay Forums... we check
those hourly at least, and we browse this NG and other forums when we need a
break from work, and jump into "simplayer mode" for a few minutes
irregularly.
Cheers,
Jason 'Schumi' Murray
| Well, I downloaded the new F1RC Relay program and so far have managed to
| join 0 (zero) races.
|
| I can log in ok, join the session and I'm taken to a new chatroom, the
host
| starts the race and I'm taken into F1RC, I select multiplayer but there
are
| no sessions shown.
|
| Any ideas ? could my computer be trying to use the IP address for my LAN
| instead of the internet one ? If so is there any way around it.
|
| Thanks for any help.
