Thrustmaster is driven me nuts!

I know this was posted before but it was long time ago and I don't
remember the fix, if there was one.  This nascar pro I got was just
frigin wore out so I decided to rebuild it along with a new set of pots
(100ohm, I think Thrustmasteruses 200).  Well everything went
together good, so I fired up nascar3 calibrated it got on the track and
the thing starts turnin left when I'm turnin right.  So I recalibrated
about a dozen more times; no go!  Checked it out in windows control
panel; a-ok. Tried it in Legends and everything was fine; GPL; good.
Now I reinstall nascar3 and the same thing, left for right; right for left!
Reinstalled joystick drivers, sound card drivers, directx 7a, and for the
hell of it nascar3 again!!!  Like I said it's drivin me up the wall.  It
wouldn't be so bad, but the thing works great on the other sims!!
Any ideas?   I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

Try holding the wheel slightly to one side when configuring
inside of Nascar3, and/or increase the deadzone. It sounds as if
it is glitching.

Go to the "Controls" setup in N3. Click on "Set Controls....Steering"  Be sure
to turn the wheel to the left.  Any motion of the wheel will set that motion to
turn left.  If you bump it to the right slightly it sets the axis of the wheel
turning right to a left hand turn in the game.

Just a thought as I have done this by mistake before.  The screen will still
display the arrows like this "Joy 1 X axis <>" but it is actually set up in
error as "Joy 1 X axis ><"
