Motorcity - Street Rod 2001?

I've just read the preview of motorcity at bhmotorsports. As long as its as
good as it says, it should be awesome. It sounds very similar (in some ways)
to street rod, which was one of my favorite games. The main thing to worry
about is the physics, but after watching one of the in-car videos and from
what you can tell after watching 15secs of video, seems realistic. It'll be
interesting to see the level of modifications you can do to the cars,
hopefully as much as you can in burnout :). This is one game i'll be keeping
my eye out for!

Yes, this is one that looks like a lot of fun  to me too.  Street Rod 2 is
still an old favorite of mine, even though the physics don't really exist at
all :-)  It ran great on my 386SX16 though!  If you put in a 4.11 gear instead
of a 2.78, you actually lose acceleration   lol.   Still a lot of fun though to
save that cash for the big blower, win a car, strip it for parts and hope to
buy a sweet combo :-)  Either way, it should definately be a huge, huge leap
from SR2.

I used to play just to see how many completely decked out '69 Vettes I could
build before the summer was through.  Never could beat the king through
Mulholland Drive!  So close, but the construction zones always killed me.  I
usually can get one each of red, white, and blue '69 Vettes, running 9.6-9.8
quarter mile times at grudge night (that usually lasted about 2 runs, then it's
back to 10.0 or so.)  That one is still on my harddrive.  It's abandonware now,
so those who don't have it....

Still, this game looks like it has potential to be my Everquest!

I did, and the ending was extremely lame.  A screen came up with some
congratulatory message and then the the game was over...You don't even get
to drive the blown Shelby!  I just found SR1 a few weeks ago actually, it
was kinda neat to play the old games again.

What are the keys to SR2?  I can get steering - but no
gearshift/throttle/brakes (are there any brakes... ? ;-)

I just use the Up, Down, Left, Right. When you accelerate, presss space to
change up, to change down brake and press space :)..
