Phil,
I paid a little more than you ($180), but mine fired up straight away
at 450MHz using the standard core voltage of 2.0V. Same went for my
266 Celeron at 400MHz (which I only got 6 weeks ago!).
I am also using the Abit BH6, 64MB Pc100, and an 8MB INtel i740 2D/3D,
coupled with a 12MB Voodoo2.
BTW, my S-code for the CPU is SL32A.
>The 300A sure is a great (cheap) option for all us gpl ***s. I picked one
>up on the weekend here in Sydney, Oz for $170aud, which is just a bargain.
>However to get stability at 450MHz i had to up the core voltage to 2.2, so
>today i bought the biggest fan i could find (6x6inches)) which will
>hopefully keep it cool. I have it slotted in an AbitBH6, 128mb with an 8mb
>Thriller. Gpl with a full grid & full graphics at 36fps is a sight to
>behold. I now have it networked to my P233-V1000, and i've been trying to
>test it out with my wife, who's using a crappy joystick, but she has failed
>to make it thru Curva Grande on around 15-20 attempts...hehe...oh well, at
>least it works !
>Cheers Phil
