Well, Dave, I've only just posted a message that I intend to set one
up. Now, the only reason that I did this is that the current ones only
seem to have the PC driving the cars ("wow, I can get a decent time if
I have x,y & Z enabled") _and_ because your site said not to expect
anything from you for some time!!!! HOF2 is no good if it doesn't
exist.

What? Get real! OK I _do_ know that you have had a previous HOF. But
this is a new game. If you want to be the "rightful heir" you've got
to be there!

I _do_ expect it to be a lot of work. But that's the Internet for you.
No one seemed prepared to set up what _I_ wanted to see, so _I_
decided to get off my backside & do something about it.

As for "issues". Simple, really. If someone doesn't agree with how I
do things, that's their business. They can go & do their own thing.
Otherwise, they stick to what I say goes. Yes, it's that simple <G>

Thanks.

PS: Dave, please don't take this as a criticism of you or your
previous work. If you (or anyone else) gets HOF2 going more or less
along the lines that I want to see, I'll happily join in. I can find
better things to do with my time (like try & get my own lap times
improved <g>). If we happen not to agree on what an HoF  should be, we
can both do our own things (same goes for any other HoF). The public
will decide which one is the better (if I don't get any particular
interest for my HoF, I'll quickly knock it on the head).

Well, I read on the MPS web pages that there's going to be something like
that starting this Friday. Of course, I'll believe it when I see it...

I'm planning on opening HOF2 for registrations next week (but not yet
lap times - hopefully in a couple of weeks time). For those who don't
know, I was the original founder and administrator of the F1GP/WC PC
Hall Of Fame, and HOF2 is the rightful heir and successor to the
WCPCHOF. You can find HOF2 at
        http://www.racesimcentral.net/~dgymer/gp2/hof2/
just below the "pseudo-official" GP2 home page.

Apart from Fritz Lucas not a single one of these other Hot Lap Page
authors have bothered to do me the courtesy of a simple email and I
suspect that not one of them has any conception of how much work it is
to run a large, successful Hall Of Fame, or any knowledge of the
issues that are going to arise.

Even so, good luck to them - they'll need it!
