Now thats a tricky question. The original BRG was an emerald green, worn
for the first time by the British entered Napier team in the 1903 Gordon
Bennett race. But I suspect you mean the later darker colours. In the mid
50's Jaguar pioneered the very very dark green, which looked almost black,
because it was assumed green was an unlucky colour for a racing car! The
Lotus green type shades came in later. There are roughly speaking eigh***
shades of BRG as used on competition cars from 1903 up to the mid 70's, and
not including the Bentley greens or privateer variations. Here are a few
colour codes for BRG based on the Ault and Wiborg range
Lotus 1971 AW37490
Austin Morris BRG67-70 HMN254 AW24400
Austin Morris BRG (Rich)59-69 HMN254 AW28461
Austin Morris Dark BRG 63-71 GN29 AW24499
Jaguar BRG 53-65 AW16712
Aston Martin BRG AW34735
British Standards Institute BS381C Mid Brunswick Green 226 AWCode 13707
" " " " Deep Brunswick
Green 227 AW 13718
If I could read your mind I think it may be one of the Austin Morris colours
you need, which roughly match the early Lotus 49 type colour, HMN254 rings a
bell, but you would have to check.
Good hunting
