MP Analysis will go offline permanently when NRO is released

by David Marti » Thu, 13 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I am no longer participating in hawaii, but I will continue to update
the MP Analysis databases for as long as hawaii has a decent following.
When the number of races per day drops off sharply, I will discontinue
the service without notice, assuming that drivers will have moved over
to NRO.  I've been told that NRO stats will be handled by Papyrus much
as I have handled them.  The client software will have the capability to
display all of your stats or the stats of any driver you choose to
examine.

I hope everyone has enjoyed the MP Analysis Page.  It has been an
interesting project to say the least and I appreciate everyone's
patience.

I have enjoyed the MP Analysis Page, rarely a week goes by that I don't use
it several times. Thanks very much for providing the service, and I hope
that Papyrus takes into consideration the work you've done as they design
the replacement system for the NRO.

What a Trooper!!

I'll have to assume your work helped pave the way for decent statistical
information from NRO.

I appreciate and thank you for the effort. We should also thank you for
your patience because I know you had to have your own AI code just to
keep up with Hawaii's *randomly variable results file format* ;-)

On more thing....Your page is 100% content! That's refreshing to see on
the web where many pages are 90% *Gee wiz look what I can do glitter*
and 10% content!!!

     David:

I'd like to add my thanks for your efforts also. Being a stats
junkie I have spent many enjoyable hours playing with the different
combinations of info. I have several floppies full of the type of charts
that I like to see.

I would ask you to keep it going as long as you can. I personally
plan on racing on HAWAII until the day they pull the plug and I'd love to
have all the stats right up to the bitter end<g>.

I appreciate the warning too. I'll be spending some time this
weekend saving the rest of the stuff that I havent gotten around to
saving yet. It's people like yourself that have helped make the HAWAII
experience all the more enjoyable. Gonna hate to see it come to an end.

     take care
