So, first of all noone was hosting race on my favourite track ( Watkins
Glen ), or, there was one but I got a ping of 1100 and something so I joined
a race at Kyalami. I qualified 5th of 17, a 1:22 something in a ferrari. not
too bad i felt, since I never really have raced at the track. Then on the
grid there were cars appearing and disappearing all the time, so i just
drove straight forward hoping I didnt hit anything. I had a small spin and
while I was spinning I for a little time looked backwards. at that time I
saw a car comming flying at me high in the air. i continued to spin around
so I dont know where he ended up but it sure was scary. after 5 laps I was
in 4th, just behind someone, but his car was warping (is that the word ) all
over the place so I didnt dare go to close to him, I just stayed right
behind him for a couple of laps... then suddenly he spun off :)))
at the end of the race lots of people got disconnected but I still finished
in third.

Yeah Frank, we all do remember our first time... <g>
One thing though....I noticed that all people were warping
in your case. Often that means that YOU'RE the one who's
warping. Keep an eye on that...

ISDN is great for online racing, don't worry. I guess this server was
overloaded in that particular race. A latency of 330ms is good
enough, as a matter of fact, up to 500ms is doable, or even 650ms if
the quality is near perfect (i.e. no lost packets).
