OK, i think its time we all get off  Julian Data's back.  He was just
telling everyone the way it is.  His only mistake was he set himself up to
take ALL the heat for the MANY racers that use the utilities that are
floating around in all the race series.

I'm not arguing that it's right or wrong, just that it's done by many
racers.  I got some setup files  from some of  the big/top names in the
ivga  when i started racing and lots of them show camber settings for the
rear wheels!  I always wondered how/why that was there. At least Julian
told it like it is and didn't hide in silence.

It seems to me that it's up to the race series' to determine and police
what's beyond the rules and what's not.  Both the ivga and Papyrus are
perfectly capable of doing that with Nascar racing!

I don't know how much help some of these changes make... but i don't think
many of us would be beating Julians times with all the editors available.
Besides, racing and qualifying are two different things as all the really
fast racers know.  I know many people are pissed-off but lets not beat-up
the only guy who told the truth.

Sorry, but I have to disagree here.  Wouldn't it something to race with a
group of people who are  grown up enough to police themselves?  I don't
need someone standing over me every minute to tell me what is right and
wrong.  And for something a small as a computer game? Come on! If they feel
they have to cheat in that, they should just pack it up.

The rules are in place for Nascar Racing already.  If you cannot modify the
settings from within the program, then it is illegal to modify it from
without.  Gee, what a concept.

I know I wouldn't, unless he crashed or something.  But still, why must we
be placed at the  additional dis-advantage of racing someone with 'hot'
setups?
