we're planning to attend the champcar race in Zolder this year (End of
August), and I was wondering if anybody here can recommend some good
accomodation within cycling range of the circuit. A B&B would be great,
or some appartment which offers breakfast for the day.

These guys are about 15km away from the circuit (there are no real centres
of habitation within 10km and any accomodation within 5km is centered around

Be quick though, 'cuz the traffic situation here is such many Belgians will
be looking to spend the nights close to the circuit too.

thanks for the link. I wonder how it comes to be that a GP circuit is
built in the middle of nowhere, 10km from any major population centre,
but so be it ;-)

Well, i've got no idea why (maybe they fear the noise?:). but i know that
it's the case even with fairly modern circuits (Do the words "Magny Cours"
ring a bell?)

I think it's to do with money. If you want to build a circuit somewhere
where people actually want to live and build businesses, the land prices are
going to be too high to afford.
