Hi,

Does anyone know a troubleshooting guide on setting up DUN in Windows
98? Now that the GPL 1.2 patch is out I thought I'd give online racing
another try, but I can't get my dial-up connection to work properly. I
can connect, login name and password are verified, but always after 10
seconds online I get disconneted again. Did anyone else have a simalar
problem, and solved it? I usually dial in under Linux, with the same
ISP, and I never have any trouble there. Any suggestions?

I have tried some online races some time ago, but I kept getting
disconnected. Is it even worth trying again with only a 33k6 modem? And
if not what is a good alternative? ISDN, cable, satelite, ...?

Hmm.  My standard DUN connects fine.  After I created another one that has all
the tips/tweaks that everyone suggests, it won't connect.  So, I either try to
connect with a DUN that hasn't been 'tuned' for online play, or I go without...
When the #$%^ will Detroit get cable modems?!?  <sigh>
