Would it be too critical of me to mention the fact that the October issue is a
little late?

Is SRN a dead project?

I suppose that I should let the SRN people speak for themselves, but
don't forget that they have day jobs as well. SRN is simply an aspect of
their dedication to racing sims.

Last I heard, there will be an "October" issue. It will be dedicated to
GP2 utilities. "November" will be about what to get a sim-racer for
Christmas and "December" will be all about NASCAR 2. The months are, of
course, only labels <g>.

Don't be too *** the SRN guys. They got all of our expectations high
with the incredible quality of the first few issues, but occasionally,
real life intrudes on timescales :(

I sincerely hope not! I've been working on some stuff for GP2 which is
now on Pieter van Dieren's GP2 page, and I'll put the GP2 stuff there
until we release the next issue (and we'll keep the guides on Pieter's
page too, to keep all GP2 stuff easily accessible from one place).

As soon as Marc is free again we'll be back at it (he's not in jail or
anything, just busy with something else!).

Yeah, how long will we have to wait to get our november issue out? We
need SRN, I just hope you guys are not getting out of business cause
that would be real bad news for us sim racing fans... Let us know
what is your position, will there be another issue out in a near
future?

I hope not, but I can imagine the amount of time that is involved in
producing it. Quick scary. And with John being, I do believe, busier
these days, that can't help. Another thought is that I'm sure if you
look at the cover date of current magazines they're probably January
issues!!!!! At least in this country anyway (UK).

Does anyone drive with "improved" GP2, with some extra horsepower besides
me?

Also, is it possible to set the car up so that the 6th gear goes above
80/64??

In Monza, with 1570 HP the car goes till 410 kmh, but then the
revs go red ;(

I don't know what I'd do without SRN. It is the only site the I check
EVERY day hoping for the new issue. But I can be a patient person. I will
wait for the next issue and be thoroughly happy when it arrives. Keep up
the good work.

John, I wished you had advertised the setup guide more emphatically. I
have been waiting for this a long time, and almost missed it. :)

Yes, please keep up the good work! Lots of folks out here really do
appreciate it!

Oops, sorry about that!

I didn't realise it had been quite so eagerly awaited, in recent times
it has been the proverbial albatross to my ancient mariner. Not until I
finally kicked myself into finishing it did I see the potential it had.

Thanks from me to all those who took the time to send me e-mail, either
questions, complaints, suggestions or just plain thanks - it gives me
the incentive to write more stuff :)
