My friend has a Dell P133 16mb  awe32 computer.  When he loads the demo
and tests the sound its fine.  Then when he tries to run the game it hangs
at the Papyrus opening screen.  It is a DOS 6.22/W3.11 machine.

Any ideas where to start looking for ways to get it to run?  It doesn't
show any error messages (like other games, out of memory, etc.), so I
don't know where to begin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also Electronics Boutique (software retailer) lists N2 release date as
10/25/96.  Are they just dreaming?  Didn't Ed post that it would be
November for sure?

It is an Aztec Multimedia 16 IIC, 16-bit sound card.  I think this
might be the souce of my sound problems. Here is my system for
reference:

   P-100, 16 megs ram, Diamond Stealth64 1 meg of Dram, Dos6.22/Win3.X

No idea, like I said I have the EXACT SAME problem....I tried
everything.

  I went to the local EB lately and they said there is NO release date
for Nascar2.  This was two or three days ago.  Maybe your guys are
pulling your leg?

Also about the sound card problem...Remember it is a BETA demo, I'm
sure papyrus will have the problem fixed in time for release, or post
a patch after release....

I have a similar problem with my p120 with a Sound blaster AWE32.  I think
there is a problem with the way the programs memory manager loads....

I found that if before I start the demo, I start another program (any
program), close it and then start the demo it works fine......  Seems to
work 8 out of 10 times
