Differential Lock, an explanation?

   The SIMPLE explanation is:
increasing differential lock tightens up the car, it will turn quicker..but
be harder to control
decreasing lock makes it easier to finish the turn without breaking
traction.  (loosens the setup)

Now hopefully somebody who REALLY knows what they are talking about will
correct and fill in the gaps.

will experiment with a lower setting.  Could this be the causing the
car to spin right under accelleration after a turn.  I use traction
control on low and auto upshifts.
