Jens,
I have GTL, & if comparison is any help, I have a p4 system 2.4 ghz (400)
with pc3200 ddr ram (1 gig) with a decent 200 gig 7200 rpm (8meg cache)
harddrive, and a geforce *6600* GT 128 meg version (not the best by a long
shot) and I get near same rates as you that is UNTIL I do a offline
challenge with more than 7 or 8 cars. some of the downloaded tracks are bad
FPS hogs, couple of the originals bring me to 3 or 4 fps. seems the papy
converted tracks do pretty well by following the suggestions in the manual
page 30 (i bought early import version) "Maximising Game Performance" except
if I went below 1024 x 768 res, I think it was slower... Im saving for the
biggest cpu I can plug into this OLDER motherboard, (533 mhz fsb is best it
can do) and should be 3.2 ghz should help me some. I hear many got help by
adding more ram and ram built into vid cards... FYI, Im not buying another
vid card until my next system since AGP is technically dead now it seems...
best of luck
